This summer, we’ve had the privilege of having Jacob intern with our team.

He recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and he’ll return this fall to pursue a Masters in Architecture.

When asked about his internship, Jacob shared he has most enjoyed learning from the team and working on Two Points Porch - a project for a returning client.

This month, we’re taking time to celebrate 10 years of Will Spencer Studio by sharing a photo from each year.

What began as a team of one in my attic has grown to a lively and talented studio of four. We are incredibly grateful for our trusted clients who have welcomed us into their homes and lives, and the craftspeople and collaborators who help bring it all to life.

We are already looking forward to the designs and stories we will tell in the next 10 years! Thank you to all who have been on this journey with us.

We’re thrilled to introduce and celebrate our Architectural Design Associate Marshall’s birthday today.

After graduating with a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota in 2023, he joined Will Spencer Studio.

Marshall has quickly become our CAD Guru and has a knack for thinking creatively about all aspects of project delivery. He has a passion for spaces that enable life, is an avid reader and constantly leaves our team in stitches with his wonderful sense of humor. We are grateful to have him on our team!

Prior to the renovation, this space lacked a clear direction.

In partnership with Prospect Refuge Studio, we reimagined the possibilities for a functional banquette for the family to gather.

We especially love how the surrounding windows highlight the stunning wood tones.

It’s difficult to choose a favorite angle of the Harriet Tudor exterior, so we decided to share them all.

While maintaining their beautiful lot in Minneapolis, we partnered with Terra Firma Building & Remodeling to create an updated space our clients could call home.

With summer in full swing, Minnesota patios are finally having their moment.

Our Cambridge Garage and Sauna project took home First Place in the Garage category of the Midwest Home Design Awards last year. We are incredibly proud of how this space was executed, and was a wonderful collaboration.

Today, we’re celebrating our Interior Design Associate Meghan’s birthday.

Meghan joined our team in 2024 after graduating from UW - Stout with an Interior Design degree and minors in Architecture and Business Administration. She coordinates the interior selections for every WSS project, runs our marketing efforts, and keeps the whole office running smoothly as the only big sister on our staff. We are so grateful to have her!
