CLASS A CDL ONLY DRIVER General Requirements
Can operate truck according to applicable policies and procedures; assures safety standards are maintained
Takes actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
Completes daily walk-around inspections of equipment to insure unit is in good operating condition and reports problems found to Supervisor and or Shop.
Maintains the cleanliness of assigned equipment.
Works with and monitors fellow workers to insure safety and productivity.
Light truck maintenance such as oils, greasing, potentially tires.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Flexible hours
Class A preferred
Must be able to operate a manual transmission
Must have roll-off & flatbed experience
Must have experience loading & unloading heavy machinery
Must have Tanker endorsement
CLASS A CDL ONLY DRIVER Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to work in a safety sensitive position.

Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must have valid health card and can pass physical, drug screen and background check
Safe driving record
Strong verbal communication skills, with hand signals.
CLASS A CDL ONLY DRIVER Education & Experience
Class A CDL license but Class B is Acceptable
GED or High School diploma as a minimum
2 years’ minimum experience
Specialty in Commercial, Industrial
General knowledge of heavy highway construction industry

Ground Improvement

When an airport's Ground Support Equipment (GSE) stops, the airfield stops.

Ramsey is currently installing RamEx-Piers (aggregate piers/stone columns) to support a new Ground Support Equipment (GSE) facility at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). GSE facilities house the heavy-duty lifelines of airport operations—high-capacity fuel trucks, ground power units, belt loaders, and de-icing rigs. This equipment exerts large and highly repetitive wheel loads. If the foundation beneath them settles even a fraction of an inch, bay doors jam, maintenance lifts misalign, and critical operations grind to a halt.

What You'll Do

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in the successful completion of heavy civil construction projects by safely and efficiently operating a variety of construction equipment.

Responsibilities include:

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, motor graders, loaders, skid steers, compactors, articulated haul trucks, and other construction equipment.

Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, demolition support, utility installation, backfilling, and finish grading.

Assist with earthwork, road construction, deep foundation, and site development projects.

Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.

Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA/MNOSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

Must be part of the Union

Ability to safely operate multiple types of heavy equipment.

Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and construction safety practices.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to work as part of a team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining safe operations.

The new Life Time Fitness is being developed in Maple Grove on a 17.5 acre site in the Minnesota Health Village.

We will be moving in excess of 100,000CY over the next month to allow for the new 58,000SF flagship athletic club to be constructed along with Knutson Construction.
