So my girl (Lux) needs more attention and I hate hate hate having to take the "go fund me" ave .
I tried to get away from painting because it's such hard work (f**k off home Depot for making it seem so easy) and requires regular chiropractic visits.

Long story shorter, I need to make more than I make delivering stuff, which ended up being necessary with Lux's needs and to not leave her alone all day. Well, she loves coming along and gets regular walks while I work. And finally, I'm confident enough to say no one else "will" paint better than I will. Plenty can, but most don't.
I've also spent my life fixing everything possible from your kitchen sink plumbing to diagnosing your car problems. I guess I'm actually a handyman and people tell me they can't find them.

If you need anything done and want to support one of the sweetest pups (verified by anyone who likes dogs) I've ever met, drop me a line .

Cheers all 🥰

The story on Lux has shifted recently.
I thought I might have had good news yesterday which was a contrast MRI that would have been under $1200, from what I recall. Possibly as cheap as $750.
I was thrilled but something made me wait to make a post about it.
I've held it together incredibly well through this whole ordeal, but Mission Animal called today and Blue Pearl recommended a CT scan which was $4-6k. Why can't there be more direct prices?
The doctor made it very clear, I should prepare for letting Lux go, for good.
I couldn't hold it together after hearing that.
I don't know what to do anymore.

She will sometimes try peeing more than once at a time but hasn't seemed in pain at all lately. More laboring to get it out at times. Like she needs s a comfy position. Other times it comes out like a garden hose.

I just read up on CT scan & MRI and to me, it almost seems better to get an MRI but I'm obviously no doctor. Anyone out there understand them well? They wasn't to try and see where her organs abnormalities since not much has been where they think it should be. She could be a hermaphrodite as well, I've been told.

Another bit of info, when she was spayed, they made a good 12-15" incision because things were goofy inside. That's when they discovered she only has one kidney and they doctor saw her bladder was small and "suspected" bladder stones. When Mission went to do surgery, it would only have been a minor incision to go in laparoscopic style, I think. But they dismissed the stone diagnosis and say she may have a stump pyometra which is why they are so concerned as it can quickly become fatal. It's hard to know what to believe anymore.

Any advice??

Also, thank you to everyone for donating to Lux's GoFundMe. Every little bit adds up am I'm just floored at the generosity not only from friends but people I have never met. I will be forever grateful for your love and support.

At this point, I simply cannot and will not put her down unless she shows clear signs of discomfort.

I've also made the decision to let go of a family heirloom to help Lux if she can be cured. If anyone is or knows someone that might have interest, PM me for more details. It's ssentially a one (two) owner car. My grandfather bought it with super low miles and it's been in the family ever since. I've been caring for it and making it roadworthy again for somewhere around 15-20 years.

It's a 1965 Galaxie 500 Convertible in Wimbledon White w a 352 Big Block. Reliable as can be and a smooth cruiser. I'd drive it anywhere.

Well, that's it for now.

Ps- Lux had her first cheesy hotdogs yesterday and they did not last long at all. Next up will be a juicy double cheeseburger.

Our garage project with the $3000.00 door was just brought to a temporary halt.

When you have a large metal exhaust vent (unknowingly & uncapped) going through the roof and the forecast calls for heavy rain... Well, I'm pretty sure you know how that turns out.

Luckily the door is safe, but some of our hard work and progress for the day is ruined. At least the painters had the heads up to throw an empty gallon bucket over the tube to slow the bleeding.

And here are the steps taken to repair all that damage. Score any cracks until all the loose stuff is pulled out. Then fill with joint compound one layer at a time until it's covered properly. Then sand and paint.

The main problem was this section of wall that was ready to fall off. It just happened to be close to the size of a 4x8 sheet of drywall so I placed the sheetrock over the damaged area and scored a line around it. I then proceeded to break the damaged wall out and replaced with new sheetrock. A proper fill coat, taping and a few skim coats bring you to sanding, primer & paint.

Which equals Good "Heart" as new!

Ok everyone, here is the damage.
It's an old house full of plaster and lath and you will find problems like this quite often. Several cracks and sometimes the wall is actually ready to fall off from years upon years of settling.
If you own something like this, don't freak out. I can fix it! Most cracks need to be dug out and patched as shown in the pics. I will post another set showing the the main wall repair and finished product.
As always, good luck out there 😊
