Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Compiles and scans paper records of receipts and other supporting documents as directed.
Uses computer to record receiving and inspection data into inventory system, Excel, and other programs as directed.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or Material Lead to rectify damages and shortages.
Inspects and/or tests incoming materials for conformance per company standards. Records results into computer systems as directed.
Applies inventory labels to cartons.
Routes items or stores as appropriate.
Routes materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Ensures all material has current inventory labels.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Uses computer or handheld device to enter records.
Maintains inventory records.
Ensures inventory accuracy by performing monthly cycle counts.
Education/Experience:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
Computer Skills Preferred:
Inventory Software, Order Processing Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
