This is a staircase that I just finished, never have I done the whole staircase. Usually just treads but i was asked if i could do the whole thing. Who doesn't love a challenge, so i took it on. All risers and sides are hand scraped. It was a SOB but i think it turned out pretty good. Take a look at the before and after pictures and you tell me what you think. I just finished up a floor for a friend of mine. Of course it had to be one of the worst floors I've seen in the 40 some years I've been doing floors. It had a black tar glue on it and that stuff is the worst thing to deal with. I'm not going to tell you how I got it off, but just take a look at the before and after pics I put up. It's with great sadness here at Perry's Hardwood that we have to announce the leaving of my son Patrick. Patrick will be truly missed by us and even more by the customer's he has taken care of. He's moving on to bigger and better things for him and his family and we wish him the best. And even worse, he's taking the master installer Leland with him. So we wish them the best and good luck. Thanks for all your hard work throughout the years, it was truly appreciated by me and my customers.
