It's bittersweet when the babies leave the nest 🥰 It's also a really great time to freshen up and change your space to embrace the new chapter that you're entire house is entering! The decades of the pitter patter of little to big feet can leave a lot of wear and tear! I've also been known to paint around the height charts penciled on walls and door frames, IF you want to keep a little of that sentimental wear and tear 💛 But for this family, It was time to get rid of the dart board dings and unauthorized indoor sports wall damage in their family home. As they sent another baby off to college, they've been thinking it's time to send themselves somewhere new, too. Whether you're staying, or going, let me help you freshen up your home! A little EnSuite refresh with popcorn removal and retexture with knockdown. Then painted the ceilings and walls! Such a sweet family. I am so lucky to meet the people that I do. A chain of referrals brought me to this client and then to the client across the street. Referrals make up for 90% of my business and client base and I LOVE this! Of course I am happy to meet the other 10% of my clients through my posts on here and that's why I keep sharing on this page! I have a few spots left before the end of the year. August means it's time to start mentally switching gears and thinking about my upcoming interior season as I finish up my exterior jobs over the next couple of months. What does the word "home" mean to you? To me a home is what holds me at the end of the night. I know that sounds a little cheesy, but it's the truth. It's what shelters me and those I love. Protects me from a year of seasons and elements. It's a safe place to retreat to when I'm tired, when I need peace and quiet, when I don't feel like being out and around people. A constant when I'm experiencing a heavy growth phase or a lot of unexpected changes. It's a place that I celebrate milestones, successes and achievements and the people in my life that deserve to be celebrated. It's a sanctuary and retreat for myself, my family and my friends who sometimes just need a place to go. A home is a place where we get to have all the feelings, all the emotions, the good and bad days and not feel judged. A home is a place to be creative and productive or just plain lazy. A place where we gather. A place we come back to whether it's just to work for the day, or home from a month long trip, or a semester at college for a few months, or even a deployment across seas for a few years. If you think about what a home really means to you and what it does for you and how it is really a place of comfort and familiarity for so much of your life ... why wouldn't you want to take care of this place and make it beautiful? There really is no place like home, and I understand the value and importance of this!
