We are extremely excited to welcome our Electric Line Technician instructor, Jon Ocker, for the fall semester! Jon was born and raised in Fifield, WI on a small dairy farm. Farming continues to be a large part of his personal life owning 600 acres, raising beef, corn, soybeans and sunflowers and also raising heifers for a large dairy production in Ashland, WI.

He’s married with 4 children and 1 grandchild and another on the way in Jan. 2026.

Jon’s career began as a Journeyman Lineman working for Marshfield Electric and Water and then at Clark Electric Cooperative. Having a strong farm background led to becoming a Stray Voltage Investigator for Clark Electric Cooperative. He then transitioned from Journeyman linework to teaching and becoming an Electrical Power Distribution Instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College.
