NDS piping and trench drains has a bad design. In the first picture that is Factory closure. Gives you 2 in of water flow in a 4 inch trench drain. I had to go and drill this out and fill it with putty. Very bad design on their part. They could use some improvements for sure!

I know all you folks want to melt the ice and snow from your driveways and patios, walkways etc etc but the worst thing you can do is put salt pellets down. It eats through your top coating which is the grout. Once that happens there's nothing to fix it but to replace all of your concrete. It just becomes an eyesore at that point.
