This transition comes following the passing of our beloved founder, Mike Sudik, who lost his battle with cancer in October. Mike built Big Sky Solar with passion, integrity, and a deep respect for his team and clients. Steven is honored to carry on Mike’s legacy and ensure that the company continues to serve our community with the same heart and excellence.

Our 2025 solar season is officially underway 🌞

We’re excited to be kicking off another solar season, but this year comes with a heavy heart. If you’ve worked with us before, then you likely knew Mike Sudik—the heart and soul of our company for the past 20+ years. In October, Mike passed away after a battle with cancer, a loss that’s been deeply felt by both our team and the greater Missoula community.

Before his passing, Mike expressed his wish for Big Sky Solar to continue under the leadership of Steven Fisher. Steven’s been part of the team for 13 years, learning the ropes from Mike himself. He’s proud to carry on Mike’s legacy and keep the lights on—literally and figuratively.

We continue to offer expert solar installations and full-service electrical work for both homes and businesses—including EV charger setups and whole-home generator installations. Our crew is made up of licensed electricians and registered apprentices, so you can expect professional, high-quality service from start to finish.
