Missoula Compost Helping Missoulians reduce waste in an efficient, reliable, & environmentally safe way!

Our mission is to provide the greater Missoula area with the resources to properly dispose of their compostable waste. We do so by offering Missoula businesses and residents a way to safely store waste, and provide the transport to our local Garden City Compost. Our company can assure clients that their food and yard waste is going somewhere where it will be handled appropriately, without causing harm to the environment or contributing to global warming. We hope that by working together as a community, we can meet Missoula's waste reduction goals in an efficient and environmentally safe way.

We’re ‘dead’ set on keeping leaves out of the landfill this year! 🎃

Don’t be a ghoul and trap them in plastic bags headed for the dump. Instead, toss them in your compost bin, or give us a call to try our brand-new leaf collection machine! Just rake your leaves into a pile and we’ll swing by to scoop them up.

Members and repeat customers get a discount, and if you’re not a member yet, no need to fright! We do one-time pickups too. 🍂

Feel that crisp bite in the air? Winter’s sneaking up, and it’s time to tuck your yard and garden in before the snow flies! 🪾🥀

We’ll take your weeds too. Our piles get hot enough to cook the seeds, so they won’t sneak into the finished compost.

Not a regular customer? No problem! We do one-time pickups, too. Just set your pile by the curb, driveway, or alley, and we’ll swing by to haul it away. Order on our website, or send us a photo of your pile for an estimate.

Customer Spotlight: Cool Earth Creamery 🍧

We are so excited to spotlight one of our favorite sweet treat vendors: ! They’ve been composting with us since March 2026, and every week we swing by to pick up the organic waste from their tabling events, plus any extra scraps from gelato production. Even better, their gelato packaging is compostable. Just remember to peel off the stickers first!
