Hey everyone! We all know the cold is here for a few days, do yourself a favor and turn off the night setback on your thermostats. Set it to a comfortable temperature and press hold. In a few days when the temps are above 0 again you can resume your normal programming! Also keep unused bedroom and closet doors open, your home needs to be warm to prevent frozen pipes, even those unused areas. Stay safe and stay warm!

So I went on a service call last week to find a gas smell in the kitchen. installed a new water heater for this home owner in the last few months. They’ve had the “installer” out a couple of times to fix it…. This is what I found, FWIW, it does not matter how much pipe dope and tape you put on a 1/2” male flare fitting, it won’t seal up in a 1/2 FIP socket…. New slogan, You can do it, we can help, even though you shouldn’t….

I just watched your post and it reminded my of this gem.... Little trip down memory lane, can still smell the goodness of a 5 gallon bucket of wipes that I pulled out of these 2 pumps, LoL! And for the record, this is the only sewage control panel I have ever worked on that had a factory installed ashtray....

But, really, actually seriously, asking for a friend. I have a family friend who is planning to move to the Cape Girardeau, Missouri area. He's recently graduated high school and in search of a trades apprenticeship, thinking Electrical or Plumber -Pipefitter, but he's undecided at the moment. I'm hoping to be able to send him off with a few potential contacts in the area of reputable contractors who would be capable of taking on a new apprentice. I apprecite the efforts and any feedback!
