RUBAROC 101 #7 — WHY DOES PREPARATION MATTER?

Here’s something we say a LOT…

You can’t build a great surface on a poor foundation.

Before the rubber goes down, the existing surface needs to be properly assessed and prepared.

That can include making sure the surface is:

✔️ Clean
✔️ Sound
✔️ Properly repaired
✔️ Suitable for the system
✔️ Ready for the products being applied

Skipping or rushing preparation can affect the finished result.

So while preparation might not be the most exciting part of the job…

It’s one of the most important! 👊

Well we've been BUSY so I haven't posted anything in a while but sometimes something just makes you feel so good that you just have to post it! This is a concrete/liner track repair that we did. After less than a year, this improperly installed liner track needed to be repaired before the liner was destroyed. We GREATLY appreciate Mr Lamarre for trusting us to do the work! Absolutely LOVE the finishing touch his son put on our work!!!

It's been a REALLY busy last few weeks! Too many people to thank! 6 liners, a bear of a pool fill in, and a lot of service calls in the last 4 weeks. I'm one tired old man! Here's a few pics of what we did. The last two pics are the pool fill in. 5' of groundwater! Can't even tell there was a pool there!

What do you do whe 1 employee misses 3 days due to dehydration/heat exhaustion, your service manager gets attacked by a pit bulldog and needs 10 stitches, and one of your work trucks gets stolen????? You suck it up and make good on what you tell your customers! This old man is TIRED! 3 liners (1 by myself) 1 light install, many service calls.

Sometimes people get soooo excited about their new Rubaroc overlay they step on it a little too soon! Actually our customer was just trying to get a water sample after getting a pool renovation. New coping, new liner, and new Rubaroc to bring it all together. Fortunately our skilled installers made it look like it never happened!
