My name is John M. West, owner of JM West Quality Paints. If you’re looking for a painter who believes in doing the job right the first time—with excellence, integrity, and craftsmanship—you’re in the right place.
But I want you to know… I’m more than just a painter.
Painting has been my profession, but serving people has always been my calling.
Over the years, I’ve learned that anyone can put paint on a wall, but not everyone knows how to build something that lasts. That’s why at JM West Quality Paints, we don’t believe in shortcuts. We believe preparation matters. We believe details matter. We believe quality speaks long after the price is forgotten.
That’s the standard I bring to every home, every business, and every project.
One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that my faith is at the center of everything I do.
Many people know me as The Painting Preacher, and that’s because I believe the lessons I teach while painting homes are often the same lessons God teaches us while building lives.
Before the paint goes on…
The surface has to be prepared.
Before restoration…
The damaged places have to be repaired.
And before elevation…
There is always a season of preparation.
That’s true in painting.
And it’s true in life.
Colossians 3:23 says,
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
That scripture has become the foundation of this business.
I strive to treat each one as an assignment from God.
This business has never just been about changing the color of walls.
It’s about restoring spaces where families gather.
Helping business owners create environments they’re proud of.
Bringing new life to homes that have weathered the years.
Because sometimes a fresh coat of paint isn’t just cosmetic…
It’s a fresh beginning.
Outside of painting, I’m a man who values family, community, and helping others. I genuinely believe there’s enough opportunity for everyone, and I never hesitate to share knowledge that helps someone else grow.
