For the love of Landscape

As a youngster growing up with many diverse dreams of the impression I wanted

to make in this world, my Mother was very influential in my life as a single parent struggling

to rear 3 children in the 50’s through the mid 70’s. She was strong natured, full of determination and had powerful love for horticulture and landscaping. Well, out 3 children I became the sole manager of her year round explosion of colorful flowering beauty in our yard that had neighbors and passerby in awe of her ability to design and create something out of nothing. No matter what others were doing, my Mother’s constant saying was “I don’t drink or smoke to justify the amount of money spent on plants and developing our yard into a “Bellingrath Gardens”. This is how I grew fond of beautifying the landscape for myself and others. This journey has lasted for over 50 years and I owe all to my dear old Mom. I love you!
