One thing unique to German Roaches is they are the only species that carries their Oothecas till around 30 ish hours before hatching, and the ootheca is basically an egg crate for Roach eggs and one ootheca can house anywhere from 25-35 individual eggs. This is why it's extremely important to clean up dead roaches and throw out glue boards because even if the female dies the eggs will still hatch and they do so about every 2 weeks so it's easy to understand why they can get bad so fast.

If your Pest Control Company doesn't respect you enough to simply call you back that says a lot about them like they do not have any respect for you and only care about you when it's time for you to pay them! They think they are the boss because they own the company and that is just not how that works, my customers are the bosses of my company I work for them and if they ain't happy then I'm not doing my job properly!

We have gotten a lot of calls the last 2 weeks with people worried they may be dealing with German Roaches at their home but we have another Roach that is almost identical to the German Roach and it is the Asian Roach it's hard to see the difference without looking close but some easy ways to tell what you have is

1- Asian Roaches are generally attracted to wet damp areas like leaves piled up on the ground or flower beds really any area with cover and moisture, while German Roaches are a social insect that is brought into the home from outside sources like Vistors that may have them at home and brought some with them unknowingly or could come from a delivered package.

2 - While Asian Roaches can & do get inside they won't normally nest inside and multiply like Germans will in Kitchens & Bathrooms.

3 - Everyone's favorite, Asian Roaches are great flyers and when disturbed can fly away from you or if your unlucky towards you! German Roaches while they do have wings they are bad flyers and at most on rare occasions could be seen gliding down from a high place like a rock with wings!

So no need to worry if you are seeing Asian Roaches, any Pest Control Company should be able to treat them fairly easily and to help prevent them best way is to keep foliage cleaned up to try to keep moisture retention to a minimum.
