Did the recent rain leave your yard soaked? Watch out for these hidden plumbing warning signs! 🌧️🏡

When heavy rain saturates the ground across Modesto and the Central Valley, it puts extra pressure on your home’s underground sewer lines and drainage systems. Excess groundwater can seep into tiny cracks in older pipes or overwhelm main lines, leading to unexpected backups inside your home!

Here are 3 things to check after a heavy rainstorm:

🚽 Gurgling Toilets & Sinks: If your toilet bubbles or gurgles when the rain stops (or when you run water elsewhere), your main sewer line may be struggling with groundwater infiltration.

🐢 Multiple Slow Drains: If the kitchen sink, bathtub, and laundry line all start draining slowly at the same time, the main line under your yard or crawl space is likely backed up.

💧 Soggy Spots or Sewage Smells in the Yard: Unusually squishy patches of grass or foul odors near your sewer cleanout mean wastewater might be backing up or leaking underground.

Catching drain issues early saves you from a messy basement or subfloor flood! If your drains are acting strange after the rain, don’t wait, call!
