We removed a large Pin oak at the Muddy Creek Lutheran church last week. The tree had Ganoderma root rot which was rotting out the buttress roots. The tree showed no signs in the canopy of the disease and can be difficult to spot unless you know what to look for. This tree had less than 5 years before the tree would have become dangerous. We had a duck on site supervising the removal.😆

I rigged this storm damaged sugar maple off a house. The top snapped out and left very little as far rigging points. Lots of lines, redirects and of course the mini skidsteer made this solo job that seemed impossible without a crane possible.

Here’s a nice size uprooted cherry I did today. A storm with strong winds blew through the area causing widespread damage. More of this tomorrow!

I pruned this gnarly old mulberry tree a few weeks a go. It had sustained a large limb tear out many years back and had some large cuts made on it. It had lots of dead wood and needed cleaned and thinned. One of the top leaders was dead and needed cut back to some live growth. Mulberry’s are tough trees and very rot resistant, I’m hoping the work I did will preserve this tree for many more years.
