Months of work—captured in seconds. 🏗️🚜

The Pride of Kane County project was a true ground-up transformation, and our team was proud to serve as General Contractor from start to finish.

The project included the demolition of an existing barn, complete site development, and construction of a brand-new convenience store and gas station destination, along with site preparations for a future outlot.

Our in-house excavation team handled the earthwork and excavation throughout the project, including site clearing, grading, and preparing the site for construction.

Another Starbucks, another successful uplift. ☕✨

Our team recently completed the modernization of the Starbucks at 171st & Harlem in Tinley Park, IL — giving the space a fresh look and upgraded experience for both customers and partners.

The best part? Much of the work happened after hours, allowing us to keep the store open and minimize disruption to day-to-day operations.

It takes careful planning, coordination and a committed team to get the job done while the doors stay open. We’re proud to keep delivering quality work, safely and efficiently, while helping Starbucks locations looking their best. 🛠️☕

Every summer, we hit pause on the jobsites to celebrate the people who make everything we do possible—our employees and their families.

From The Famous Wheel Game 🎡 to the Candy Toss, Balloon Toss, raffles, great food, awesome prizes, games, laughs, and plenty of friendly competition, this year's Summer Party was one to remember.

🚧 Built on progress. Driven by teamwork.

Every successful project is built one milestone at a time, and that's exactly what's happening at our McDonald's raze-and-rebuild project in Skokie, IL.

Over the last several weeks, our team has:
✅ Installed the underground StormTrap stormwater detention system
✅ Completed the building foundations
✅ Installed the underground electrical and plumbing infrastructure
✅ Poured the floor slab
✅ Erected the structural steel and started framing the new restaurant

The pace is strong, the momentum continues, and it's exciting to watch another project come to life.

A space that reflects the brand behind it.

R. Carlson & Sons is proud to have completed a comprehensive office renovation for our first project with Sterling Solutions in Phoenix, IL.

This transformation centered around bringing a key element of Sterling Solutions' identity to life by thoughtfully integrating cross-laminated timber (CLT) throughout the space. The result is a warm, modern workplace that showcases the beauty of timber while creating an inviting environment for employees and visitors alike.

The renovation included:
• Front vestibule and entrance enhancements
• New exterior awnings
• Conference rooms
• Private offices
• Hallways
• Restrooms

Projects like this are a great reminder that renovations can do more than update a space—they can tell a company's story.
