🚧 Project Progress Spotlight | Compass Fuel Station | North Chicago 🚧

The future Compass Fuel Station in North Chicago is beginning to take shape, and the progress has been exciting to watch!

Over the past several weeks, our team and trade partners have tackled critical early-phase milestones, including underground storm infrastructure, utility installations, foundation construction, and structural steel er****on. While much of this work will eventually be hidden from view, it's the backbone of the entire facility and lays the foundation for long-term success.

Every pipe installed, foundation poured, and steel beam set is another step toward bringing this project to life. Behind the scenes, countless hours of planning, coordination, and teamwork have gone into reaching this stage, all while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.

🏗️ Exciting things are underway at the bp Whiting Refinery!

Our team is proud to officially begin work at one of the largest and most significant refinery operations in the world — spanning more than 1,400 acres and playing a critical role in fueling the region and beyond.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an important operation and look forward to the work ahead.

We’re excited to kick off our first project with Wintrust Bank as we transform an existing building into a brand-new Wintrust banking location in Elk Grove Village, IL!

This project showcases the adaptive reuse and redevelopment work our team is proud to deliver—bringing new life to an existing structure while creating a modern space ready to serve the community.

Another Starbucks Uplift wrapped up—this time in Orland Park! Our team delivered a smooth, multi-night interior refresh, transforming the space while keeping daily operations running without interruption.

Working overnight shifts, our team revitalized the store with updated finishes, refreshed furniture, artwork, & decor elements—creating a warmer, more welcoming environment for both customers and store partners.

These projects are all about precision, planning, and ex*****on under tight timelines—and our team continues to deliver.

What does it take to completely transform a retail fuel station site at one of Chicago’s busiest intersections? 🔨🏗️

This major remodel at Ontario & LaSalle highlights our team’s ability to execute complex work in a high-traffic urban environment—while delivering a fully upgraded facility.

The scope included the teardown & install of a new fuel canopy, new fuel dispensers, and underground storage tanks. To safely complete the tank work, our team utilized permanent sheet piling for shoring during excavation, while separately tying into an active roadway for utility connections—all while pushing through Chicago’s frigid winter conditions.

The convenience store received all new finishes on both the exterior facade & interior, to enhance the customer experience at this busy site!

All work was completed with a strong focus on safety, coordination, and maintaining momentum in a demanding setting.

🚧⚡ COMING SOON: GAS N WASH – CRETE, IL ⚡🚧

This won’t just be a stop—it’ll be an 8-acre destination.

The new Gas N Wash in Crete is nearing the finish line, bringing together convenience, speed, and a full lineup of amenities. Inside, you’ll find Jimmy John's and Dunkin' built right into the convenience store—making this more than your typical fuel stop.

Outside, the full tunnel car wash is standing tall, the vacuum canopy is in place, and even a dedicated dog wash is part of the lineup. Hot mix asphalt paving is going down, equipment is going in, and the entire development is nearing completion.

We’re in the final stretch—and it won’t be long before this one’s open and serving the community. Stay tuned. 👀

Safety isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we continuously invest in. 🦺

Earlier this Spring, our team participated in multiple Excavator Pipeline Safety Training sessions across the Chicagoland area hosted by Paradigm Liaison Services. These safety trainings serve as an important reminder of what’s below the surface and the role we all play in protecting critical underground infrastructure. 👷🏼‍♂️

From reinforcing best practices of pipeline leak recognition & response to sharpening hazard awareness & prevention methods around safe digging, our crews walked away with practical knowledge they can apply on every jobsite. It’s all part of our commitment to doing the job the right way—safely, responsibly, and with respect for the communities we work in. 🚧
