Today reminded me of something I’ve known for a while. I need a sawmill!! When I do design build projects on my own property I try to utilize the timber stand that I am surrounded by!

I’ve had the privilege a few times in my life to work side by side with my dad framing and doing general construction tasks. I stepped away from that and got into the dirt world but came back on the design side and now stepping into contracting. Now in retirement, dad acts as my “free consultant” and I love that this world that I grew up in has come full circle in addition to all of my own life experiences. I would not be the man that I am today if it wasn’t for Dad and Jesus and I am so thankful for the example he continues to set for me and my family. Happy Father’s Day dad!!

This custom farmhouse in Molalla is really starting to take shape.

The roof is on, the windows are installed, and the house wrap is complete. It’s always exciting seeing a project move from lines on a screen to something you can walk through.

We design these custom homes from the ground up and it’s always fun watching the vision become reality one step at a time!

🏡 Project complete. ✅

This new construction yard is ready for the next phase after spreading 28 yards of topsoil, fine grading the yard, and leveling a pad for a future greenhouse and shed.

The details matter. Proper grading creates a solid foundation for landscaping, improves drainage, and ensures future structures start on level ground.

It’s always rewarding to see a rough construction site transformed into a clean, usable space.

🚜 Building from the ground up.

Finished final grading and moved 20 yards of material to prepare this new home’s backyard for topsoil installation.

Every finished yard starts with proper site prep, drainage, and grading. The details below the surface make all the difference when it’s time for landscaping.

This custom design is taking shape — featuring a west-facing back porch for evening sunsets and an east-facing front porch for morning coffee.

Nothing beats seeing something that started as a set of drawings become a real home.

Apparently digging a hole is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do.

I guess that’s why people hire me. 😎

Whether it’s excavation, grading, site prep, or land clearing, I’ve spent enough time moving dirt that digging holes doesn’t seem so bad anymore.
