🔨 Why Are We Replacing All That Decking?! 🏠

We’ve been BUSY replacing roof decking this week—and trust us, we don’t replace decking just for fun! 😅

Once the old roofing materials come off, sometimes we uncover decking that simply isn’t suitable for a new roof. A few things we’ve run into this week:

🪵 Rotted or deteriorated decking
🪵 Delaminated plywood/OSB
🪵 Spaced plank decking with gaps that are too large
🪵 Areas that no longer provide a solid, secure surface for the new roofing system

💡 Did you know? Most municipalities AND roofing manufacturers have requirements and guidelines for the roof deck underneath your shingles. Those requirements matter—not only for proper installation, but also for the performance and warranty of your new roofing system.

At Quality Roofing Pro, we’re not interested in covering up a problem just because you won’t be able to see it when the job is finished. If the decking underneath your roof needs attention, we’re going to address it so the new roof has the solid foundation it deserves.

This homeowner sustained storm damage over the summer, and insurance initially approved a full roof replacement and siding repairs.

But our team didn’t stop there! 💪 After doing some additional work on the claim, we were able to get the homeowner approved for a FULL siding replacement too! 🙌

Now the roof is new, the siding is new, and this project is officially wrapped up — and WOW, what a difference! 😍

Helping our customers navigate storm damage and making sure their homes are properly restored is what we’re here for.

Our office dog takes their responsibilities very seriously: greeting visitors, supervising snack breaks, boosting office morale, and making sure no lunch goes unattended. 😂
