Board of Adjustments in Unionville, N.C.

Most town councils appoint members of the community to serve on their Board of Adjustments. Here in Unionville, N.C. the town council members always appoint themselves to serve as the Board of Adjustments. You might ask why is that? They do it that way because they do not want the Board of Adjustments overturning any of their decisions concerning rezoning request, variances or special use permits. And that my friends is one of the biggest displays of selfishness that there has ever been. Please feel free to share this post.

Installed this new sink in a customers kitchen yesterday. Also changed out 2 other fixtures. Going back one day next week to finish the water heater change out when the electrician can come wire it. We set in place a new 50 gallon low boy under the house today.

Water Heaters.

Mr. Jenkins says that if your furnace is 14 years old that it is very old and you might want to think about replacing it. Tim says that your water heater is the same way and this is the truth. If your water heater is 10 to 15 years old you have gotten the life out of it and it is time to think about replacing it. Especially if it is currently located somewhere inside the house where it could cause major damage if it starts to leaking. Even if your water heater is in a pan the pan is not a guarantee that it would save your hardwood floors or carpets. We have seen electric elements to completely blow out of the water heater tank. When this happens you have a stream of water entering your house very quickly and the pan will not catch even one drop of the invading water. The best place to locate a water heater is under a house or in a garage where if it were to start leaking it would not do any major damage to the house. An attic is the worse location for a water heater. We have had customers to wake up at night with water and sheetrock laying in the bed with them because of a leaking water heater in the attic. If your water heater is in your attic I would advise you to periodically check on it to make sure it does not have any signs of leakage.

We do not work for General Contractors anymore simply because I got tired of getting maybe 1 out of 10 jobs that I would bid. The only General Contractor that we will work for is ourselves. We are also Keziah Const. Co., LLC. We can handle any renovations or new construction that you may need. The most pleasant construction job that we have ever been on is when we served as both the General Contractor and the Plumbing Contractor. 40 years experience. We are very picky and we want things done right and we emphasize good and neat workmanship.

Finished that tough job today.

We were able to bypass some leaks under a concrete slab floor by rerouting one line inside of the kitchen cabinets and we were able to utilize an existing line under the slab for a sleeve for the new line. By doing it this way we did not have to break up any of the concrete floor. The customers were very pleased with what we did for them and said that they would tell their friends and neighbors. Word of mouth is the best advertising that we can do and it cost us nothing. Just do a good job and good word of mouth is what we will get. Its also called repeat business. We gained new customers and friends yesterday and today. The customers told us today that they are thankful that they got us involved in their plumbing problem. We were happy to help.

Before and after photo's of a fixtures replacement job that we did yesterday and today. Had to be very careful removing the lavatories because they were stuck very tight to the ceramic tile counter tops with a very strong adhesive caulking. The lady of the house was very pleased. And the man of the house was very pleased that the lady of the house was pleased. These were some very nice people that we worked for. And we were very pleased that both the Lady and Man of the house were both pleased with what we had done for them. The new tub and shower valve faucet is the scald guard type which prevents you from being scalded by hot water. There were two lavatories and 1 tub / shower valve to replace. Also gave the customer our recommendations on replacing a water heater in the future and where the best place would be to relocate it to.
