Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman specializing in Painting and Dry Wall to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior and exterior painting, drywall installation, finishing, and restoration work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets safety standards, aesthetic expectations, and durability requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation and new construction sites, applying your craftsmanship to transform spaces with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
-Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and drywall finish.
-Execute painting tasks using various techniques such as brush, roller, airless spray systems, and power tools to achieve smooth, even coats.
-Install, repair, and finish drywall panels, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing for seamless walls and ceilings.
-Apply caulking around fixtures, trim carpentry details, stucco finishes, and other surface treatments to enhance durability and appearance.
-Utilize hand tools such as trowels, putty knives, saws, drills, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
-Perform plastering repairs, masonry work, concrete finishing, and framing as needed for renovation or restoration projects.
-Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Requirements
-Proven experience as a Journeyman in painting (residential and commercial) and drywall installation with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
-Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including airless paint sprayers), scaffolding equipment, and welding tools.
-Familiarity with construction site safety standards and ability to work effectively in various environments including renovation sites.
-Additional skills such as plastering, stucco application, fixture installation, restoration work, carpentry (trim framing), masonry or industrial painting are highly desirable.
