Your AC Could Quit in This Heat – Here’s How to Keep It Running

Heat waves are hard on air conditioners. In a recent ABC7 News report, our Air-Tro technician helped a homeowner whose outdoor unit had stopped cooling half her house after a long wait for service.

Here are three simple habits that help keep systems running when temperatures climb:

- Change the filter regularly

- Keep leaves and debris away from the outdoor condenser

- Schedule a professional check before summer and before winter

A few minutes of attention now can prevent a sweltering night and a costly repair later.

Stay cool.

In the interview, Esteban walks through a real service call and explains why keeping dogs away from the condenser is one of the simplest ways to protect your system. He also shares practical advice on filters, humidity, and seasonal maintenance.
