Built these huge stand pipes and finally got them out to the job. It was a fun project but I’m happy to have them in the field. Hopefully they will be buried soon and I can forget about them forever!

You can thank Fish and Wildlife for another huge step toward destroying wildlife habitat. Tomorrow morning fish and wildlife plans to remove two earth damns on the little springs. This is located on the old Louie ranch (currently owned by Nature Conservancy) on Louie rd. In Montague. Removing these damns will dry up 150 acres of wet lands. These wet lands have been nesting grounds for sand hill cranes, ducks, geese, etc. for the past 150 years. Beyond damage to the wildlife, this will more than likely have a negative impact on the water table in the Big Springs area for years to come. Anyone who is tired of the government making crazy decisions like this can join me and many local ranchers 8am, Wednesday the 6th at 4415 E Louie rd. Montague Ca. 96064. This is just the beginning of damn removals in this area, and it needs to be stopped.
