Ultra thin marble. One millimeter thick. Real stone, almost weightless.

I saw it at KBIS and immediately thought this is Poetic Modernism in material form.

When nature meets technology in the right way, stone becomes atmosphere. Grounded. Calm. Bold. Never overwhelming.

Get this….
did not just show products at KBIS. They built a feeling.

Steam rising softly. A cold plunge that wakes up your skin. Waterfall effects cascading from multiple showerheads. Overhead rain. Side sprays. Sheets of water. Mist. It was immersive.

It was not a booth with things on display. More a reminder that water is not just plumbing. It is emotion. It is ritual. It is recovery.

As someone who designs spaces that whisper take care of yourself, I loved that it was about the experience of coming home to yourself. It is how we should live….And when water is choreographed like that, it becomes poetry.

Imagine this.

It’s evening. The house is quiet. The lighting is soft, layered, intentional.

You open the NEW 36” freezer column from and there it is. A single sphere of craft ice. Clear. Perfect. Measured

You place it into a heavy glass.

I’m at KBIS, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, where innovation, materials, and ideas are everywhere.

But the real highlight?
Seeing old friends on the show floor.

POETIC PICK Let’s get deeper into the details of this mudroom and lounge

In this Mahwah NJ project I transformed the way you experience the sequence of entering this home. First, I created a mudroom where the kids can easily put away shoes and coats. From there, you flow into a lounge space, enveloped by oversized leaf-patterned wallpaper. Anchring the room is ventless fireplace, wrapped in richly textured stone with soft gray veining What I love most is how the veining is perfectly imperfect. The stone installers are masters The client loves nature and by hanging here immediately you feel your stress lowering…it gently signals your nervous system to relax, sit down, and simply exhale ®

Clients come to me because they’re grateful that I take the overwhelm out of a renovation. People call me telling me they have felt unsupported by a previous designer or architect… They are looking to me because I am designer who can provide something different, not what everyone else has! I love to simplify decisions, and transform stress into clarity. My current client says she is more calm now after working with me. I don’t design based on trends or Pinterest moments. I go deeper: I translate their stories and awe emotions into the design making their homes feel deeply personal and comforting!

Hosted by the and the teams, this was an unforgettable evening of culinary artistry, conversation, and inspiration. Curated by Dacor Chef Jean-Bernard Villareal, the evening was designed to spark connection and gather design minds inside the innovative Dacor Kitchen Theater. The night’s menu was pure poetry: Passed canapés,Steamed shrimp ravioli,Rack of lamb in a holiday sauce with winter garden vegetables, Warm apple strudel to close the night.
