This yard right here was a task yall. 3500sq ft (including the driveway strip behind these pictures too)

We aerated, scalped, verticut, scalped again(to cleanup alll the crap the verticutter yanked out), spot leveled, and top dressed with a sand/soil 50/50.

Im so ready to see this customers growth through to them having it fairway level. We’ve had perfectly spaced rain, he fertilized his own yard before we went out to give those little solar panels(grass blades) a little extra energy to peak through that 50/50 and all that effort has grass filling in low spots where we had to level out where a tree was taken out and a few other little washouts.

It’s coming along great and if you’d like any information on a complete yard renovation shoot me a message and we’ll be happy to get you taken care of.

All in two days work! Really like 4 hours..

This is the result of a verticut and scalp of about a 6000 sq ft lawn. This is one of my regular lawn service customers as of this year but in the past she’s not had her grass bagged. Most of this is dead grass, unhealthy grass, and a little off the top. I maintain her lawn at about 1-1/2” normally(cause Bermuda wants to be short.. quit cutting high) and I took it all the way to about 1” with the Toro, then verticut, then broke out the workhorse McLane 25” reel mower to take it down to 3/4” and about 1/2” on the second pass. I’ll give it a few good rains before I actually cut again but from now on we bag.. Cause Sugar the dachshund is allergic to grass… weird… low rider allergic to grass. Crazy.

I can’t wait to see the bounce back. Check out the stripes in the comments. And message me to schedule your verticut and scalp, any of my specialty services, or regular lawn maintenance.

Shot some 45 degree lasers on this clients yard today. This L-shaped yard is usually just an up and back in two different directions and this time I decided to mix it up a hair and keep everything flowing the same direction.

This decreases the chances of ruts and is just plain appealing to the eye.

Message me for lawn care in the Montevallo/Alabaster areas!

🎶It’s not too late, it’s never too late🎶

It’s never too late to get your yard right. Thatch comes from not bagging your grass, dead grass matting under the canopy of your grass, and chokes out your soil from air, water and nutrients.

Even with your normal, every few weeks, treatments from those big companies that spray stuff all over your yard, it’s not making it down. To have better grass you need to have better soil. Many of the services I provide, aside from normal lawn cutting, are truly to treat your soil.

Aeration is truly to decompact your SOIL. It also provides a chance to amend your soil with compost or sand. Depending on whether the needs of your yard are that of nutrient amendments or drainage assistance.

Verticutting is for that thatch mentioned above. Verticutting is for southern grasses what dethatching is to northern grasses. Warm season grasses generally grow laterally, along the surface of the soil, shooting blades off of horizontal “runners”. Think of these runners like worms, when you cut a worm in half, it makes 2 worms.. grass is the same. Vertical cutting(verticutting) cuts through these runners and promotes growth while at the same time digging just into the soil, pulling the thatch layer from under the canopy, and it is taken away.

Again, it’s never too late to improve your soil, thus pushing your grass to improve.

Shoot me a message so we can get your yard looking like the fairway you’ve always dreamed it would. ⛳️

A level job we completed yesterday. 4 yards of 50/50 and a BUNCH of shovel scoops.

We knocked out a verticut to get all the thatch and junk pulled up to the surface and ran a scalp to get all that off the deck. Then we made that big pile into a bunch of little piles and spread it all around.

This yard had a big dip in it where an old dead tree used to be. Leveling everything off will help keep water from pooling in the dip and killing all the grass.

Comment “HELP” below to get started on a personalized quote to your yard and we’ll see if we can’t get your yard looking like a fairway.

Just borrowing this fellas video, yall go like, follow and subscribe to his stuff!

But would ya just look at that? This is what’s hiding under grass as short and nice as his… just imagine what’s hiding in some of these longer yards! Under your green canopy is a whole layer of brown, dead, nasty, fungus filled grodiness that’s choking the life out of your grass. Thatch prevents growth as it cuts off the soil and roots from air, water, and nutrients. This is the food pyramid for a plant(other than sunlight) so all of these things are necessary to having a full, beautiful turf.

Get with me about verticutting (it’s essentially dethatching for southern grasses) and let’s get that junk out and your yard beautiful.

Want that golf course feel but don’t have golf course time or golf course energy? Message me. This is just a few greens cut in for a Master’s Party this weekend to have some fun chipping but whole yard packages are available!

Also, big juicy worms are signs of good soil and good fishin’!

And of course the boss had to check the equipment before we going going.

Did a core aeration and verticut this morning and got some great results. Those new tines on the aerator are doing great! Even in this yard there was a huge amount of thatch.

Remember.

Core aeration is to primarily help with decompaction in the soil but gives the root zone direct access to that much needed oxygen, water and any nutrients it gets from its people.

The verticut is to get allll that disgusting thatch out of the grass that’s “choking” your lawn from its food pyramid and even promoting fungus and mold.

These services are amazing separately but together they’re the golden ticket(and have a discounted rate when bundled). A little water and this lawn will be lush and full here soon!

Annnddd we’re back everybody. After a couple of weeks trying to convince Facebook this is actually my page, we’re back.

Ever wonder what’s hindering your yards growth? This. This is thatch. Thatch is a build up of dead grass and grass clippings, all matted down like a carpet and blocking your yard from getting access to water, air, and nutrients.. the “food pyramid” for a healthy lawn!

This load is from one single pass with our verticutter over a 7500 sq ft lush Bermuda lawn. This lawn is already thick and taken care of by its owner but he had a noticeable “blanket”(as he called it) over the soil. We came over and helped get him going in the right direction by getting a layer of this nasty stuff up and have already got an aeration planned for the next two weeks(after some rain to soften the ground a little) and yet another verticut at the same time to get what was left and help break up those cores pulled by the aerator.

Bundle packages come with discounted prices so keep that in mind. I’ll try to educate a little(I’m no PHD but I know a little about grass health) and lead you to the right path for your lawn goals and if that means you’re doing fine and I don’t do a thing that’s just fine too.

Shoot me a message by hitting the button below and we’ll get everything handled for ya!
