Our first market of the year is coming up on Saturday, September 5th, at the Celina Farmers' Market located at the Mercer County Fairgrounds-Celina, Ohio. We will have a little bit of everything. Cut flowers (mostly zinnias), mums, pumpkins, and of course, our laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, and dish soap.

We hope to see you there, 9 AM-12 PM.

Join us for a beautiful evening of prayer and remembrance as we honor children who have been lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.

📍 St. Denis Catholic Church

Families are invited to register to receive a personalized candle and/or to have the name(s) of their miscarried or stillborn child(ren) included on the memorial display at Mass.

Please note: While everyone is invited and encouraged to return each year, you only need to register if you have not registered in a previous year. Names from previous years will automatically be included in this year's memorial display.

This deadline applies if you would like a personalized candle present at the Mass. Register using this link: https://forms.gle/6jukwohSSUzwhjGz9
If your family received a candle in a previous year, you are welcome to bring it with you. Before Mass, you may place it with the others on the memorial display at the front of church and collect it again after Mass. We hope this beautiful display will serve as a visible reminder that every child is remembered and loved. ❤️

🎃 NEW THIS YEAR: White Pumpkins of Remembrance
A white pumpkin displayed during autumn can serve as a quiet and meaningful symbol of remembrance for a baby lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death.
⁣
This year, Rindler Homestead grew white pumpkins with the intention of donating the proceeds to Cherished Child Ministry. Pumpkins will be ready the first week of September.

We tried something new this year—“homestead” entries at the Mercer County Fair.

Half of our entries placed, and the other half didn’t. And if I’m being honest, I was bummed. Especially about my red beets. I took the time to cut them all nice and pretty, only to see the winning entry had whole red beets. 🤦🏽‍♀️

My first thought? Well, maybe next year I’ll can whole beets.

Then I remembered something my dad used to say:

“We don’t milk cows to show them at the fair. We show them at the fair because that’s what we have.”

And that really put things back into perspective.

What I brought to the fair was what we had. What we grew. What we preserved. What serves our family.

And let me tell you… if I started canning whole red beets, I’d probably hear about it from the rest of the family. 😂

So maybe it’s not really about winning.

It’s about showing up.
Doing the work.
Learning something new.
And being proud of the work that went into putting food on our shelves and growing something with our own two hands.

The ribbons are fun, but the real win is building a homestead that feeds my family. ❤️🌱
