45 Years ago, my father and I started Quality Assurance Testing Laboratories to provide geotechnical services and construction materials testing services. We saw the need for a firm to apply knowledgeable experience with great service, impartiality, and fair prices. We were able to work with the best architects, developers, contractors, owners, and government agencies.
Running a business is full of trials and tribulations, but it is rewarding and satisfying. Some of the greatest rewards came from working with my father for 40 years and son for 12 years. With so much time, memorable projects, many memories and friends made it a hard decision to retire.
Cooper Nichols is a Professional Soil Scientist and after getting to know him from working with him for a few years, and his desire to carry the Quality Assurance Testing Laboratories legacy forward, I was able to make the decision to retire.
I thank all of you that joined me on this journey, I will never forget you. I'm not completely gone; I am still here to help.
