Introducing Jules J. Berta Vineyard

Owned by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Jules and Becky Berta, this Albertville, Alabama winery is known for its muscadine wine and the community that loves it.

The design softens concrete, steel, and bold forms into the surrounding trees, cantilevering a box out over an existing pond to place guests among the vines and above the water.

Inside, two distinct moods. A restaurant seating up to 80 that celebrates food, wine, and the craft behind both, and an intimate, adults-only speakeasy with a quiet, tucked-away feel.

Inside HERO, the interior is shaped around bright color, playful casework, and an easy, daytime energy. The counter sits against a wall of colorful tile, where a custom coffee bar anchors the room beneath round globe pendants.

A wall of windows opens the dining room to the corner and the patio beyond, keeping the space in step with the street life outside.

Inside Little Donkey, the interior is shaped around warm wood, exposed steel, and a connection to the work of the kitchen. The dining room opens beneath an exposed steel structure, where a custom wood storefront wraps the tortilla kitchen and keeps it in view of the room.

Bar windows and operable doors carry the energy of the front porch inward, holding the dining areas in dialogue with the street beyond.

Little Donkey + HERO is a paired hospitality project on a single block in downtown Montgomery near the EJI Legacy Museum. The two restaurants are given distinct material identities: Little Donkey in dark charcoal brick with a perforated terracotta screen and an exposed steel canopy, HERO in pale white tile with red lettering beneath a warm timber soffit.

A continuous street edge of patios, planting, and new trees ties the two volumes together while letting each hold its own character.

River Run Park has been named one of the top 10 Major Accomplishments of 2025 in Visit Tuscaloosa's Annual Report. This recognition comes as Tuscaloosa County breaks their record with more than $1 billion in visitor spending. River Run Park is establishing itself as a new anchor for regional sports tourism and we’re honored to have been a part of it.

At the Wire Road Soccer Complex, recreation unfolds through light, materiality, and a sense of openness within the rhythm of the City of Auburn's park.

The facility brings new energy to a previously underused edge of the grounds, balancing the intensity of play with moments of calm. A translucent facade glows at dusk, warm wood soffits soften the steel structure, and a shaded courtyard frames quiet space between the buildings and the fields beyond.

Inside, a full-size futsal court and two basketball courts open to framed views of the surrounding landscape. A canopy walkway links the gymnasium to concessions and gathering space, while three lighted fields extend activity across the site.
