🥶 **Why is this A/C line FREEZING?!**

What you’re seeing in this video is the **suction line beginning to freeze because the indoor blower was not operating.**

Your A/C doesn’t just need refrigerant to cool your home—it also needs **proper airflow across the evaporator coil**. When the blower stops moving air, the coil temperature can quickly drop below freezing. Moisture then freezes on the coil and refrigerant lines, creating the ice you see here.

⚠️ **A frozen A/C system does NOT automatically mean it’s low on refrigerant.**

Low refrigerant can cause freezing, but so can:
• A failed blower motor
• A control board problem
• Restricted airflow
• A dirty filter or evaporator coil
• Other electrical or airflow issues

That’s why proper diagnostics matter. Simply adding refrigerant to a frozen system without determining **why it froze** can leave the real problem unresolved.

🚨 **FREON LEAK FOUND!** 🚨

This is exactly why a proper HVAC diagnosis matters.

During today’s service call, we performed a thorough leak search and located a **refrigerant leak in the outdoor condenser coil**. The video shows the leak detector reacting directly at the source.

When an A/C system is low on refrigerant, simply adding more Freon isn’t always the answer. **Refrigerant doesn’t get “used up.”** If a system is low, there’s a reason — and finding that reason can save the homeowner from repeatedly paying to recharge a leaking system.

Signs of a refrigerant leak can include:

* A/C struggling to keep up during the hottest part of the day
* Longer run times
* Higher electric bills
* Reduced cooling
