65 years of sparks and hammer blows. The shop has seen many cool projects go out its doors. The shop is more about people than it is about metal. Thank you to all our employees and customers. The relationships forged with both have surpassed any creation from the steel tables in the back. Thank you both for the opportunity to get to know you and to create with you!

It is with a broken heart that I share the passing of Jimmy Gowan, 12-14-39 to 10-23-21. Jimmy has been the President of Gowan Iron since 1988. He first worked for Gowan Iron in 1959 while attending Huntingdon College on a basketball scholarship. He went on to work 27 years with Delta Airlines, retiring in 1992. Jimmy Gowan was one of the hardest-working men I have ever known. In addition to working forty hours a week at both jobs during the four-year overlap, he ran a ranch with his brother John Daniel Gowan, which had 170 head of cattle. He was a devoted husband to Kathy Gowan and loving father to Amanda Pemberton, Matt Gowan, and myself, Jim Gowan . He will be greatly missed!

Our last project of 2019. We are very excited to have a piece at President's Mansion Auburn University . Thanks Charlotte Gaston Interiors for the commission. Simple design but, it is big; 7' wide by 4' tall. P.S. Very happy Jay Gogue is back!
