Man! I've got this customer who's hired me probably seven times in the last 15 years. Referred me to neighbors and family members and coworkers, etc. Elderly lady. A heart of pure gold and by far one of my all time favorites! But every time I see her she brings up OU Football and how she remembers cheering for us back in 2000. No big deal. Lots of people are crazy OU fans around here and mention it all the time. And don't get me wrong - I don't keep it a secret that I was on that team, especially if I think it's gonna make me some money. But today she made two specific comments... "Everybody loved Josh." "Everybody knew who Josh was." It dawned on me today who she thinks I am.  🤦‍♂️ Sweet old lady… That Josh ain't selling roofs and building carports in OKC. He's the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers.  I'm embarrassed to tell her. I guess I'm just gonna keep it going. Whatever pays the bills, right?

Here's the problem with hail damage... It eventually causes a hole to wear through the shingle. (This can sometimes take years.) The shingle "butts" or waterline extends up under the shingles above it. When the hail hits near this waterline, the hole that will eventually wear into it, will cause an opening all the way down to the roof deck. Then you have a leak. Now imagine this times 10 or 100 spots on a single roof.
