Small upgrade, big difference💡

We recently updated this waiting room with new 2' x 2' LED panels for a cleaner, brighter, and more modern look. These panels are color adjustable, wattage adjustable, and rated for a 50,000 hour lifespan.

The importance of sealing an electrical enclosure:

Ever heard a generator yell “I’M UP” when the power never went out? 😅

We were called out because a homeowner’s standby generator kept auto-starting even though utility power was still on. That should never happen.

We opened the transfer switch and found the culprit: 🐭⚡️
A little rodent got inside and took a stroll across the control terminals, which shorted a wire and popped the fuses for the battery charger and the utility sense circuit.

What that caused:
➡️The battery stopped charging. Over time it drained down and the homeowner ended up replacing it. This cycle would continue until the fuse is replaced.
➡️The utility sense circuit got knocked out, so the generator thought the power was out and kept trying to start when it didn’t need to.

What we did:
We replaced the shorted wire, replaced the blown fuses, and fully tested the system. After repairs, everything operated exactly like it should. 👍

If your generator is starting randomly, acting weird, or you suspect moisture or pests may have gotten into the equipment, get it checked sooner rather than later. Small issues like this can turn into a no-start situation when you actually need backup power.

🐭 Pro tip: if there’s a gap, they’ll find it. Seal those enclosures up tight.
