It’s taken some time but we have gotten settled into our new office. We are now located at 107 Queen Street Morganton. For those who have been following us since we started in 2011, this is right next door to where we started almost 14 years ago. It almost feels like we’ve come back home.

Our thoughts are with those affected, hoping for minimal damage and safety for all during this flood. Unfortunately like many other businesses and neighbors around us, our office at 325 Sanford Drive has been flooded.

We were fortunate though to have the help of our field crew members and good friends that showed up and helped us move our equipment and files to a safe location.

I cannot thank those enough who showed up to help us move. One person in particular, Chase Boykin, was facing the possibility of losing his own house and business but came to help us any way.

The Bible says “A true friend shows love at all times And is a brother who is born for times of distress.” I’ve got more brothers and friends than I ever could deserve.

For the public to be allowed to walk on private property, there needs to be a trail easement agreement that will be recorded with the deed along with a survey. On the BCPS parcel, the board has agreed to allow the trail within a pre-approved area, volunteers have designed and built the trail - now 4 Corners Land Surveying is surveying the trail to create the drawing that will be submitted with the easement. That's why trails take time -- but it is so worth it!
