Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. ππ©΅
This cause is deeply personal to me. I advocate for su***de prevention because I have faced those struggles myself, and I have also experienced the pain of losing people close to me to su***de.
I know what it feels like to believe there is no way forward but I am still here. That is why I will continue sharing my story, speaking openly about su***de, and reminding others that asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Your life has value, even when your mind is telling you otherwise.
Next month, I will be running the Chicago Marathon in support of the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. I am still raising money toward my $3,700 fundraising goal, with every donation helping support education, research, advocacy, and resources for those affected by su***de.
If you would like to support my fundraiser, you can donate through the link in the comment section . Every donation, share, and conversation helps spread awareness.
Please check on your people and really truly listen when you ask how they are doing.
You are not alone. Your story is not over.
If you or someone you know needs support, call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
The more we talk about su***de, the less powerful the stigma becomes.
