Understory Design Build is looking for a detail oriented Painter/Finisher to join our crew! We are a small residential construction company based in Morrisville, VT. We utilize a thoughtful design process and top-notch construction services to create high-performing, healthy homes and inspiring spaces. The Painter/Finisher is responsible for the last step of a long construction process. This is the final layer that homeowners will see and feel for years to come and allows the end of a good project to shine beautifully.
Job Type: Full or Part-time
Pay: $17- $30 per hour, based on experience

Ideal candidate:
Has 1+ years of painting & finishing experience
Takes pride in the details and the quality of their work
Is confident using everyday jobsite tools and following all safety protocols
Has reliable transportation and phone
Ability to drive job sites within one hour of Morrisville, VT
Is physically able to lift 50 lbs.
Is comfortable on ladders, pump jacks and scaffolding
Bonus:
Has experience with a paint sprayer
Job tasks will include:
Painting of interior walls and trim
Exterior siding, trim
Custom wood finishes
Paints, stains and coatings on built-ins, walls, ceilings, floors, countertops
Staining and specialty finishes
Sanding woodwork
Caulk, spackle, wood filling
Intricate plaster work, lime and earth based plasters
Samples and experimentation
