I’m really sad to share that we have lost a friend and former teammate, Dave Usher, who was one of the original team members at Going Green Restoration. He was a hard worker and a family man. On Sundays you could find Dave in the front row of church praising Jesus along side his wife Jenni. He loved his family so much. Please pray for them as well.

To support his family during this tough time, we’ve set up a GoFundMe. If you’re able to, it would mean a lot to donate or share. Every little bit helps!

Thanks for showing his family all your love and support.

🚨 Attention Homeowners! 🚨

Important weather alert for this Wednesday! We are expecting sustained winds of 20-30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph. 🌬️💨

To help protect your home and property, please take the following precautions:

1. Secure Outdoor Items: Bring in or securely fasten any loose furniture, garden decorations, and trash cans to prevent them from becoming projectiles.

2. Check Your Roofing: Inspect your roof for any loose shingles or tiles. If you notice any issues, consider securing them to prevent further damage.

3. Examine Siding and Gutters: Make sure that your siding is secure and that gutters are properly attached. Loose siding can be damaged by high winds, and clogged gutters can lead to water damage.

4. Trim Trees and Branches: Look for any weak or dead branches and trim them back to avoid potential falling hazards.

5. Check Your Fencing: Inspect your fences for stability and make any necessary repairs now to prevent them from being blown over.

Give us a call if you sustain any damages and we will come take a look for you!

Winter is coming!! Preparing your home for winter storms is essential to ensure safety and minimize damage. Here are 10 tips to help you get ready:

1. Inspect Your Roof and Gutters
- Check for Damage: Look for missing or damaged shingles that could lead to leaks.
- Clear Gutters: Remove leaves and debris to prevent ice dams and ensure proper drainage.

2. Seal Windows and Doors
- Weatherstripping: Apply weatherstripping or caulk to prevent cold drafts.
- Storm Windows: If applicable, install storm windows to improve insulation.

3. Insulate Pipes
- Wrap Exposed Pipes: Use foam insulation or heat tape on pipes in unheated areas to prevent freezing.
- Let Faucets Drip: During extreme cold, let faucets drip to keep water flowing and reduce pressure on pipes.

4. Check Heating Systems
- Replace Filters: Change filters to ensure efficient operation.

5. Stock Up on Supplies
- Ice Melt/Salt: Keep ice melt or rock salt on hand for walkways and driveways.
- Shovels and Snow Removal Equipment: Ensure shovels are in good condition, and consider a snow blower if you have a large area to clear.

6. Test Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
- Check Batteries: Test alarms and replace batteries to ensure they work properly.
- Install Detectors: If you don’t have them, consider installing detectors on each level of your home.

7. Trim Trees and Branches
- Remove Weak Branches: Trim back any branches that could fall on your home or power lines during a storm.

8. Prepare Your Vehicle
- Transportation: Make sure everyone knows your vehicle’s emergency kit, and check that your car is winter-ready.

9. Prepare for Power Outages
- Backup Power: Consider investing in a generator if you live in an area prone to outages.
- Charge Devices: Keep cell phones and other devices charged, and have portable chargers ready.

10. Review Your Insurance Policy
- Ensure your home insurance covers winter storm damage, including snow, ice, and wind damage.

By taking these proactive steps, you can help protect your home and family during winter storms. Stay safe! ❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️☃️☃️❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️☃️☃️
