Unique spray foam application. Our customer has rented this building for years; they now own it. The building next door was demolished to make way for a new building. The picture shows their party wall between the two buildings. In the winter, cold penetrated the joints of the brick mortar and seeped into the heated building. Wind would find small openings and blow into their building. Not to mention the loss of heating and cooling.
3" of Closed Cell spray foam solved all these problems; a thermal and v***r barrier. No expensive conditioned air escaping through the wall. No drafts. Protection from the elements. Spray foam even adds structural integrity to the brick wall.
Since the new building adjacent to our customer may take 6 months to be built, the spray foam was covered with black plastic to limit UV interaction.
Spray foam for the win! Any other insulation method could not achieve an R22.2 with 3" of material and be a moisture and v***r barrier.
