We did a little electrical upgrade on a very old 3 phase residential system. Homeowner upgraded the a/c system to a single phase unit, but the old electrical system could not support it due to insufficient wire size, over current protection, and no equipment ground. Upsizing the wire, over current protection, and adding an equipment ground should now have this unit running with no issues.

Customer call because half the house wasn’t working. They lost a leg in the meter base and it was actively arching in the lug. We had to replace the meter base and bring everything up to code. Disconnect outside and also installed a type 2 surge protector.
