Good evening...

Today I received a tool that I had been itching to get, I received equipment that allows me toocate water leaks underground.

Now we can do leak locating without opening the ground.. and I suspect without opening walls.

Good evening..

A question I get asked often.

"How do I find a leak?"

There is a simple answer, and a possibly more complicated answer.

1. All water flows down hill and seeks it's own level. So if you have water on the ceiling or the on the floor, track it back to the higher water source, and that will generally show the issue.

2. The only time water.soes not flow downhill, is when it is being pumped, or siphoned. If these are the case, tracking the pipe back to the pump or following the siphon, will show the source, if not the problem.

In any case.. if you need us to come out and find your leak AND repair your leak.. do not hesitate to call, email, or text..

Hello everyone,

Occasionally your pipes underground will fail.. it may be 50, 60, 70 years after they were installed.. but they fail (sometimes sooner)..

We strive to get your plumbing working with the least invasive measures possible.. but sometimes... we have to dig.. even then we try to make it as painless as possible. The pics are of a typical repair.. when we are done, everything works.as they should.

As a plumber, you get to see all sorts of new tools and parts. All touted to make your jobs easier.

So I broke down and bought a "Chain Knocker" aka a Rigid Flex Shaft.

Having used it a few times, it is a good drain cleaning tool for the right circumstances.

We will continue to use the traditional cable machines and hydrojet, but the Flex Shaft is a welcome addition to the lineup.

Today's lesson..

DON'T PUT PAPER TOWELS DOWN YOUR TOILET!!!

Drove to Morgantown WV to auger a toilet.. because of paper towels..

3 hours of driving 30 minutes on site, on overtime, because of 10 cents worth of paper towels...
