This week we had a client with an exterior light that wouldn’t turn on. Removing the light to investigate and Surprise! The culprits that caused this issue were squirrels.🐿️

An interesting fact about squirrels…if you have them in your attic during the spring and summer months, it is likely that babies are present. As they grow they will use your wires to file down their newly growing teeth.

It's incredibly important to remove squirrels or other rodents from your roof or attic at the earliest point of discovery. They can lead to costly problems and not to mention a safety concern!

Ground rods

On Most properties I go to over 50% of them have an issue with there home being grounded.

If you don't have a ground rod or its not connected properly it lead to several dangerous situations including: electrical shock hazards, damage to appliances and electronics due to surges, potential fires from faulty wiring, and increased risk of electrical equipment malfunctioning; essentially, any electrical surge or fault could potentially travel through your body instead of being safely directed to the ground, putting you at serious risk.

-Studies show failure rates increase significantly in hoses that are more than five years old.
-The average age of failed hoses was 8.7 years.
80% of hoses fail within 10 years.
