🔧 Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic – QBQ

QBQ is hiring a Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our crew.

We work on trucks, heavy equipment, and crushing setups—so no two days are the same. If you’re good with tools and can figure things out, we’re willing to train the right person.

📍 Location: Mount Ayr, Iowa
🕒 Full-time | Some travel required

✅ What You’ll Do:
Diagnose and repair diesel trucks & heavy equipment
Work on crushing equipment (training provided)
Perform maintenance, inspections, and field repairs
Travel to job sites as needed
🔧 What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical experience (diesel, ag, construction, or similar)
OR strong hands-on skills and willingness to learn
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
Dependable and shows up ready to work

QBQ has plenty of good clay fill dirt for sale, and plenty of good black dirt for sale. We can also load and haul anywhere you might need some. If you need anything hauled, i.e (rock, equipment, ect.) we can help with your fall projects. $40 a load on fill dirt and $200 a load on black dirt. (doesn’t include delivery). We're looking to hire a rock crushing foreman!
Job Description:
As a Rock Crushing Foreman, you'll oversee daily operations of the crushing crew, ensure safety standards are met, and maintain efficient production goals. You’ll be hands-on, leading by example while coordinating equipment, materials, and personnel on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate crushing operations and personnel
Operate and maintain rock crushing equipment (jaw, cone, screens, conveyors, etc.)
Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with MSHA regulations
Monitor production levels and quality control
Schedule maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
Report daily activity to project management
Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in rock crushing operations
Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain crushing equipment
Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
CDL preferred but not required
