💦 WHEN THE WATER WON'T STOP, IT TAKES A TEAM! 💪

Some water leaks take a whole team to sort things out. That’s what happened recently at Montgomery Community College. A water leak popped up under the pavement near the pottery building, and it turned out to be more than just a simple fix.

Pride Plumbing got called in, and we had to do some coordinating with the local authorities to get the water shut off. The town’s crew actually found the shut-off valve right there in the road, while Pride was busy talking to the college and county folks to figure out the best way to handle everything and what needed to happen next.

It wasn't some huge, gushing flood or anything dramatic like water shooting high into the air. It was just a simple leak that needed to be dealt with. And getting it under control meant a few different groups had to work together.

This is a pretty good example of what we do here at Pride Plumbing. A lot of the time, fixing a plumbing issue isn't just about the pipes themselves. It's about knowing who else needs to be part of the solution and making sure everyone pulls together to get the job done.

SEWAGE PUMP ON THE FRITZ OR JUST DIED? WAIT BEFORE YOU REPLACE!

When a sewer grinder pump stops working, replacement isn't always the first answer.

A grinder pump alarm is a good reason to have the system checked out. If the pump isn't working, Pride Plumbing can install a temporary loaner pump to keep the system operating while we take the malfunctioning pump back to our shop for evaluation.

Once we have the pump in our shop, we'll inspect it and see if it can be repaired rather than automatically replacing it.

We can try to repair both Liberty and E/One sewer pumps.

Of course, not every pump can be repaired. The condition of the pump and the problem it's experiencing will determine whether repair is a practical option.

ONCE UPON A TIME, POLE SITTING WAS A THING. WAITING FOR A PLUMBER WAS TOO. 😂

Believe it or not, pole sitting was a real craze in the 1920s.

It started in 1924 when stuntman Alvin “Shipwreck” Kelly climbed onto a platform atop a flagpole in Los Angeles and stayed there for 13 hours and 13 minutes. Before long, pole sitting became a national fad, with people of all ages competing to see just how long they could stay perched above the ground.

Some stayed up there for days. And the crowds actually came out to watch.

Unfortunately, folks used to have to wait for a plumber, too.
