August's Employee of the Month, Josh Shenfeld, has been with The Witmer Group for more than five years. Josh got his start in the construction industry through a family friend after growing up around concrete work with his dad.

For Josh, the best part of the job is the people he works with every day. He enjoys being part of a team where everyone works together and shares the workload, creating an environment where he genuinely enjoys coming to work.

A hands on learner, Josh has continued to grow by learning from the experienced people around him. Over the years, he's become more organized, taken on greater responsibility, and adapted to different crews and projects.

What motivates Josh each day is providing for his family. Outside of work, you'll usually find him boating, fishing, hunting, or spending time outdoors.

Josh's willingness to learn, team first attitude, and dedication to both his work and his family make him a well deserved choice for August's Employee of the Month.

The work happening outside a community health center is never only about brick and mortar.

At Union Community Care’s Orange Street location, our restoration crew is addressing repairs at the top of the façade and the details that help protect the building from water intrusion.

7,500 square feet of flooring designed for an industrial environment.

Our coatings team installed a ¼ inch urethane cement flooring system over a shot blasted substrate, followed by a full quartz broadcast and a 16 mil chemical resistant novolac epoxy topcoat.

The project also included:
• 400 LF of 4 inch radius cove base
• Keyed edges at drains, dock levelers, and door transitions
• Polyurea filled control joints
• Mock up installation before production for customer approval

Setting the stage for masonry restoration at Lancaster House North. 🏗️

Our crew is rigging the swing stage and preparing the site for Phase I of the project. With repairs spanning the building exterior, this setup gives the team the access needed to tackle the work safely and efficiently.
The scope includes joint and relief-angle restoration, corrosion treatment, new backer rod and sealant, flashing work, and localized brick repairs.

Now you have.

The Witmer Group is proud to have played a key role in protecting this elevated stadium with waterproofing systems, expansion joints, sealants, and specialty coatings that will help ensure the structure performs for years to come. While the turf is now in place, our team continues working through the final phases of the project.

Trades 🤝 Trains

Railroad history was built by skilled trades, and today, another generation of tradespeople are contributing to that legacy.

Our crews are currently installing the complete masonry package at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania Roundhouse, including CMU, brick, flashing, cavity insulation, mortar, grout, lintels, reinforcement, and masonry accessories.

Two sides of the same wall.

Before the masonry comes down, the shoring posts must go up.

Temporary shoring post systems maintain the structural integrity of the building by supporting the structure while the CMU and brick veneer are removed. The shoring remains in place until the rebuild is complete.

As work continues at Lincoln Park Elementary, crews are advancing multiple sections of the building at the same time. Material deliveries, forklifts, mast climbers, scaffolding, and layout all have to stay in sync so masonry installation can keep moving without slowing down.

Every wall is built around more than concrete masonry units.
• Door and window openings must be laid out precisely.
• Reinforced cells and bond beam courses are incorporated throughout the walls.
• Lintels, anchors, flashing, insulation, mortar, grout, and other masonry components are installed as each area progresses.
• Material staging has to keep pace with crews working dozens of feet above the ground.

With each lift of block, the school is becoming easier to recognize, and it's exciting to watch the project continue taking shape.
