What a great afternoon at Del Webb Barton Village in Lebanon!

We had the opportunity to introduce Sensible Home Services to the community as one of their preferred electrical vendors, answer questions, and spend some time talking about something we’re passionate about—helping homeowners better protect their homes and electronics with whole-home surge protection.

We had an incredible turnout with more than 35 residents joining us for the Lunch & Learn, and we’re extremely thankful for everyone who came out, asked questions, and spent part of their afternoon with us.

We’re also excited that 14 homeowners signed up to have surge protection installed, along with several other projects including island outlets and additional electrical improvements throughout their homes.

More than anything, we appreciate the trust Barton Village has already placed in our family-owned company. We’re looking forward to continuing to serve this community and being a resource residents can call when they have electrical questions or need something taken care of around their home.

Today was a productive day!! We installed the wiring for new pendant lights in Murfreesboro, then headed over to Lebanon and installed an out on a kitchen island, installed whole home surge protection, then went next door in the same neighborhood and installed a ceiling fan, a new outlet on the island, and another surge protector. All while earning 5-Star Reviews and repeat customers for life.

Another great week doing what we love — helping homeowners across Middle Tennessee keep their homes safe, comfortable, and powered up.

⚡ This is what a complete electrical transformation looks like.

The first two photos show what we started with—and this was easily one of the worst electrical panels we’ve come across. There were numerous safety concerns, code issues, and years of questionable work that needed to be corrected.

The existing electrical service was buried behind heavy vegetation and located too close to the gas meter, so this wasn’t simply a panel swap. We relocated the service approximately 3 feet, rebuilt it correctly, and brought the home’s electrical system up to a much safer standard.

✅ Complete 200-amp service upgrade & relocation
✅ New electrical panel
✅ New grounding system
✅ Whole-home surge protection
✅ New smoke detectors throughout the home
✅ Numerous existing electrical and safety issues corrected

The difference between the before and after pictures speaks for itself.

The best part? This homeowner can now have confidence that their electrical system is safe, properly installed, and built to serve the home for years to come.

Proud dad and proud business owner moment right here. 💙⚡

My son has worked his tail off to get to this point, and now he’s getting ready to move into his own service truck.

This wasn’t handed to him. He earned it by showing up, learning the trade, taking coaching, putting in the work, and getting better every single day.

Watching him grow as an electrician and as a young man has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. There’s still plenty to learn and plenty of road ahead, but this is a big milestone and one worth celebrating.

We’re beyond proud to have him on the Sensible Home Services team, and I’m even more proud to call him my son.
