This National Wellness Month, we're highlighting projects designed with wellbeing in mind.

In Ridgefield CT, KG+D is completely renovating an 11,000-square-foot space for Tribeca Community School, a Reggio Emilia-inspired pre-k opening this fall. The design includes 11 classrooms, dedicated movement rooms, and shared community spaces, all filled with natural light.

At the heart of the school is the atelier, a studio space built to support open-ended creative exploration as part of the everyday learning experience.

The Tribeca Community School is a space designed to support exploration, creativity, and growth from day one.

This National Wellness Month, we're celebrating the role thoughtful school design plays in supporting student well-being. 💙

At the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School in Yonkers—the city's first new school in more than 20 years—every space was designed with students in mind.

From collaborative learning areas and intuitive way finding to a dedicated community health clinic and sustainable building features, the school was designed to foster learning, connection, and wellness—both inside and outside the classroom.

Nothing builds teamwork quite like a little friendly competition. 🎳

Our team recently hit the bowling lanes with our longtime partners at Barile Gallagher Associates (BGA) for an evening of friendly rivalry.

For more than 30 years, KG+D and BGA have partnered to deliver successful projects throughout the region. It was great to trade project meetings for bowling shoes and spend time together outside the office.

KG+D may have taken home the trophy 🏆, but the real win was celebrating a partnership built on collaboration, trust, and three decades of shared success.

This National Wellness Month, we're celebrating spaces that help young people thrive.

The $22 million renovation and expansion of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich transformed the Clubhouse Lounge into a 66,000-square-foot facility, modernizing a building that has served the community since 1939.

The design introduced a high school-sized gymnasium, a dedicated Teen Center with academic support spaces, and a second-floor addition that doubled educational capacity—all while preserving the original brick lobby wall and historic entry.

More than a renovation, the project created a safe, welcoming environment where Greenwich's youth can learn, recharge, connect, and grow.

KG+D collaborated with the Indian Mountain School to develop a new field house and athletic field.

The new field house, Morehead Athletic Center, was designed to LEED standards and includes a gymnasium and indoor courts, a fitness room, training room, and locker rooms.

Spaces like this are a good example of what Parks and Recreation Month is all about, communities staying active and connected.
