The numbers are in, and the numbers don’t lie!

2025 was a milestone year for Highlands Drilling, marked by growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.

We successfully commissioned another rig—Rig 9—expanding our capabilities and strengthening our ability to deliver for our customers. This increased activity drove a 21.32% increase in rig time. What’s most impressive, this increased activity was achieved while simultaneously reducing downtime by 8.22%, a testament to our crew’s focus on performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Commissioning another rig brings on a set of challenges within itself. We cannot thank our customers enough for the opportunities to work together, as well as everyone within Highlands Drilling who worked so hard to make it happen. These accomplishments reflect the dedication, expertise, and teamwork that define Highlands Drilling. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in 2025 and look forward to building on this momentum throughout 2026.

Highlands Drilling Rig 8 was greeted in Iowa by a skilled crop duster buzzing over our rig!
A big shoutout to our Rig 8 crews and Rig Managers for pushing through the Iowa heat this summer on a Regulated Gas Storage Project. Operating well outside the core oilfield service infrastructure meant strong communication with our client and vendors was critical to success. When time is money, being prepared for the next step plays a huge role in daily operations.
Despite the challenges, our team delivered:
✅ 99.77% Productive Uptime
✅ Only 0.23% Non-Productive Time over 46 Operating Days
These results highlight what sets Highlands Drilling apart — the right people and the right equipment, working together. Achieving these numbers 700+ miles from our home base is something our Rig 8 team should be proud of!
🌽 Fun Fact: Did you know corn sweats on a hot summer day? One acre can release 3,000–4,000 gallons of water v***r daily, significantly adding to local humidity. With millions of acres across Iowa, that’s the equivalent of filling 73,000 Olympic swimming pools every single day!

Highlands Drilling Rig 14 has successfully wrapped up a Regulated Gas Storage Project for a highly respected utility provider in Michigan — and we couldn’t be prouder of the results!

✅ This year’s program featured multiple horizontal storage wells, each with dual laterals — a complex and technical scope that our team executed flawlessly.

Highlands Drilling proudly reports a positive lookback for 2024, with an increase in equipment utilization, and a decrease in Non-Productive Time (NPT) year over year.

During 2024 Highlands Drilling NPT was reduced to 2.1% of overall rig time while utilization was up 10.5% marking a notable achievement in maintenance and reliability. The reduction in downtime highlights Highlands Drilling's commitment to maintaining a high level of operational excellence. This improvement signals a strong operational performance and sets a solid foundation for a successful year ahead, positioning the company for continued growth and service excellence in 2025.
