🏗️ Built in Time for the NYS Fair!

Upstate Companies recently completed a $3.3 million project for the Future Farmers of America (FFA) building at the New York State Fairgrounds.

With a tight deadline and the Fair quickly approaching, the Upstate Companies team worked hard to get the project across the finish line and ready for FFA members and visitors to use during this year’s Fair.

🏗️ Nearly One Mile of Fencing Completed at the NYS Fairgrounds!

We recently completed a major fencing project at the New York State Fairgrounds, installing nearly one mile of fencing around the RV and campground area.

With just one month to get the entire project completed before the start of the NYS Fair, the Upstate Companies team worked hard with our friends at Whitmore Fencing to meet the tight deadline and have everything ready on time.

Great work by the entire Upstate Companies team for getting it done and keeping these projects on schedule!

🚧 NOW HIRING: Construction Project Accountant

Upstate Companies is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant to join our team!

This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of our construction projects from job setup through completion. Responsibilities include project accounting, billing, contract administration, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate project records.

What we’re looking for:
🔸 Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
🔸 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
🔸 Knowledge of construction job costing and project accounting
🔸 Experience with progress billing and subcontract administration
🔸 Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
🔸 Exceptional attention to detail
🔸 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
🔸 Experience with construction accounting software is a plus

🏗️ Project Update: Utica CSD

Progress is moving along at Utica CSD, where the Upstate Companies team is hard at work on a $3.2 million project spanning three buildings.

🚧 Exterior parking lot work is underway and nearly ready for asphalt.

🔨 Inside, existing spaces have been demolished and are now being rebuilt to support the next phase of improvements.

🧱 One of the biggest undertakings has been the removal of a massive brick chimney spanning three stories within the building. Following its removal, the area was infilled with structural steel.

There’s a lot happening across this project, and we’re proud to see the transformation taking shape. Stay tuned as work continues at Utica CSD!
