Taking time off at the beginning of the year to gut and remodel our own home not only took a toll on all of us, but Serenity as well. The past couple months have been more about focusing on moving forward in a healthy and balanced relationship between business and family. I have always been so passionate about Serenity, it’s something I took pride in growing and building. But the toll it had taken over the years became increasingly unmanageable and unhealthy for myself and my family. These past 6 months have been a breath of fresh air. Being 100% involved in jobs, and being completely focused and dedicated to what’s right in front of me, has reminded why I fell in love with it from the start. Having your own business is tough. It’s hard on everyone in your life and I never dreamt that it could be so demanding and stressful. If the last few months have taught me anything it’s that I definitely don’t know everything and that it’s only a failure if you give up and quit. Most importantly, it’s shown me that my family and Arley have always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. I wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t for them and especially her. I just wanted to share some of the last couple months and say thank you to everyone who has continued to believe and support us.

It’s Friday so you know what that means…HOUSE UPDATE 🎉
We’re down to finishings to complete this part of the house, so the differences are somewhat subtle.
- 7 barstools were added to the island - I’m taking the two off the end because I can’t handle it 😂
- Cabinet pulls were installed ✅
- Dishwasher installed ✅
- Handrail finished ✅
- New ceiling fan installed ✅
- Fireplace was built & tiled, electric fireplace insert & massive TV to be installed next week - large sectional also coming soon 😍
- Two bedrooms painted & ready for carpet ✅
- Before & after pics of the bathroom next week 🤩

Next up - downstairs!! 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry room, workout area, family room & mudroom 🥳

The guys have truly poured their hearts and souls into this project. We couldn’t be more grateful for such a great team 🛠️💪🏻

What are your thoughts on grout color for our backsplash? We’ve contemplated everything from an off white/beige, to a deep mocha, or even black. Let us know what you think 😊

Moving right along over here 💪🏻🤩 In just over a month, the guys have made HUGE progress!

Cabinets have been installed ✅ Check out the “secret” walk in pantry 😍 ((a few of the cabinet doors were back ordered but will be here next week))

The massive island, with beautiful butcher block countertops, is definitely an eye catcher! ((Shiplap on the front is in progress)) Also… Look at those lights 🤩

Appliances (minus oven & dishwasher) are in place.
Even the wine fridge 🍷😉

‼️Question of the week ‼️

The original plan was to Shiplap the range hood all the way up to the ceiling & paint it white. We have since changed our minds & have a few different thoughts on what we would like to do.
What do you think we should do - original plan or something different? Bonus points if you include pictures of your suggestions 😊
