Like so many others, Breast Cancer has had major impacts on our family and friends. A few years ago we lost our young cousin to Breast Cancer and now a co-worker and good friend is battling cancer while raising 4 children. We will be selling Breast Cancer Awareness pens this month and will donate $10 from each pen to the go fund me of our friend. In addition the company we buy the pen kits from, sends a portion of their proceeds to support Breast Cancer research. There are currently 3 pens posted but depending on interest we can make more. If you purchase a pen that is not already made, you are looking at about a two week turn around. As these pens are made of wood, no two pens will be identical but they will be close. The wood is closer to pink than red even though it looks red in these pictures. If you know us and don’t want to ship the pens, we have a way to meet up and sell them also.

We didn’t have much woodturning time this summer but as it is getting colder on weekends, we will be back at it! Lots of new pens posted in our store this week. Stay tuned for lots of new pictures and what we are doing for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We drove to North Canton, Ohio yesterday to pick up our new lathe. We are super excited about trying to turn some bowls soon. Hopefully we will have some different products available in our store in the next few weeks.

Two pens we made for a customer this weekend for Mother’s Day. The Faith, Hope and Love pens were made from purple dyed wood. One is burl maple and the other is box elder.
